The fact that it's specifically labelled as a 5th level adventure makes me uneasy. SD really doesn't have that level of granularity in terms of challenge. Maybe it's shorthand for 4-6?

Could be accounting for Tier 3 spells in some way.

A bit ago Kobold Press were making grunts that they would expand their scope and I thought Shadowdark was a good fit and now here we are!

There are multiple new classes, multiple new races, including at least one exclusive one (the half-elf).

The books are currently scheduled for some time this summer (I'd expect it to be at the tail end of the summer if they make that target) and then available to the general public after that.

So for a non-backer, some time this fall. By the end of the year for sure, I think.
