I'll freely admit that one big draw to doing a populated hex thing like I am, instead of a dungeon, is that the map takes an hour or two, not a week. And I can happily draw my own dungeons (given time). The hex-shaped node map is a great time saver.You are way ahead of me. I still need to come up with more encounter areas. The idea is strong but it needs more fleshing out. And it's pretty clear that Dyson Logos doesn't have any commercial maps that will work for this, so I'm going to end up inflicting my map-making and maybe art on the audience as well.
