Silly combinations

I almost had a laughing fit when I stumbled over this odd combination... There are these quite interesting bracers of striking in the MoF, which can have any weapon special ability a bludgeoning weapon might have... So I dug up the weapon special ability table, and PANG! The throwing bracers of striking were born!

How do they work anyway? I mean, does the wearer fire his hands at his opponent, or what? And what if the opponent has the Deflect Arrows and Reflect Arrows feats? Or even worse, Deflect Arrows and Snatch Arrows!

Anyway, if you guys have stumbled upon similar odd combinations, I'm sure somebody here'd be interested in hearing about them...

I had a Gnome Artificer awhile back, he created a device called the "Ba' Zookah". It used the "launch item" spell, which can launch an item of up to ten pounds. Wow, hey a bastard sword is 10 pounds, isn't it? Hey, so we found this +1 bastard sword nobody needs....

Then I convinced a local wizard to enchant it with "Returning".

An even sillier combination....

Take the same example as above.... only assume that you have Magic Fang, or Beast Claws cast on your hands.

So you "Go Go Gadget Boomerang Hands!!" At the monk with "snatch arrows", who grabs your hand, runs over to you, and starts beating you over the head with it.

Could a monk use his unarmed attack bonus when attacking with someone else's hands besides his own?

Reminds me of Terry Pratchetts interpretation of "Seven League Boots". Imagine what happens to your crotch if your feet suddenly want to be 21 miles apart

Then you'll be disarmed

Remember that unarmed strikes encompass more than stikes with your hand. It's feet (so you can be "defeeted"), elbows, knees, even a headbutt (we're not losing our head, eh?).

Why not make the bracers of striking dancing? "It's not me who's touching your breasts, melady. Those hands have a live of it's own."

Weren't there singing swords? Make singing bracers - they will sing in sign language... (or you sing without being able to help it).

Hmm, if you put Brilliant Energy in a Bracer of Striking, would that mean you're no longer capable of picking up objects? Your hands are now pure energy...

Remember that your whole body might considered a weapon. So brilliant energy might result in a very embarrasingly lose of gear (and clothes, of course).
