Hey, everyone. Sorry the 3.0 fact has got some of you down, but we're going to release 3.5 ASAP (our public demands it). Like others have mentioned, the upgrade will be free. If the flaws are because the thing isn't 3.5, well we know that. If the flaws are other than that, shame on us. Frilf will have to rule on who gets the email and the lashings, but I doubt posts here will be as useful as a personal note. However, it's not my call. I can't tell you how the undead compare to the Slayer's Guide to Undead (haven't read it), but I can tell you that the Greater Skeleton and Greater Zombie resemble somewhat the Corpse and Bone creatures in Book of Vile Darkness, though they were created before that book came out (unless I'm mistaken). Compared to Savage Species the other undead templates (wight, mummy, and so on) have a broader utility and consideration for creature types beyond humanoid. The sample wight is a gynosphinx and the sample mohrg is a gargoyle, if that means anything to you. There are also tools for applying this template to NPCs and rules for undead that retain class abilities after their gruesome transformation (a Greater Wight may not be scarier than a lich, but the transformation is cheaper and easier). The templates were designed with maximum playability in mind and a focus on ease of insertion into the campaign. Even templates from other OGL sources were edited for maximum usability. I welcome your assessment, Psion. Thanks for the compliments, problems, and comments. Don't hurt your players too much. Everything helps us build a better product as we make the 3.5 conversion. What other template-based goodies would you like to see? Adventures using templated critters? More stuff aimed at PCs? Anything else? _C_
