Slaying Action

I'm not sure how to read the rogue's feat "Slaying Action."
If you spend an action point to take an extra action and have already dealt sneak attack damage during this round, you can deal the extra damage a second time during this turn.
Is that saying:

You can attach sneak attack damage to the 2nd attack, that you're gaining with the action point.
or
If you use an action point and just dealt sneak attack damage, roll the snerk attack die again, and the thing you just snook-attacked gets sneaked-attacked for more.*
I'm assuming that it's the first, but I want someone else to back me up.

* For the record all of the verbs in that sentence are conjugated 100% properly.

It's like the first interpretation, but ever-so-slightly more flexible. You could deal sneak attack damage, use an action point for a move action, then apply sneak attack damage to a minor action attack, for instance. It "refreshes" your Sneak Attack feature, but only during the turn you spent the AP.

It most certainly wouldn't be the first option; to my knowledge, there are no abilities that, after an attack action has already been resolved, retroactively add more damage to the target of a previous attack.
