Anyone hate the- Hey look we did something completely different - oops no we didn't, part of this episode?
(As I said SPOILERS):
Clark reveals himself as a super powered being in this episode with all of the resulting consequences - except, of course, by the end he time travels back a few days to change the outcome so that it never happened.
This is the second (maybe even third) time that the writers have pulled this stunt - Do something drastically different (ex. kill Lana) and then backtrack (through time travel) by the end of the episode. It was bad writing then and it came off (IMO) as even worse here.
The writers have shown a willingness to ignore canon (though not major canon) when expedient, why resort to such blatant annoying gimmicks as doing something then reversing it by time traveling back (especially for more than 1 episode, but 1 is bad enough).
