D&D General Sneak Peak at the Dire Maul dungeon in the upcoming D&D x WoW book

I'm not a big fan of Dire Maul in WoW -- I put in a lot of time in each of the wings in vanilla and the bloom is well off the rose for me -- but it does have the advantage of having interesting boss mechanics.
One thing they could do (though it doesn't sound like they are from the NPCs) is embrace that it's a real location instead of a collection of respawning instances. You clear east one time to get the key and stuff that's in there, you bust into North to defeat the king and extract tribute, and you clear the west to defeat Immolthar (IIRC) and get to the library one time. But then after leave things set up for who comes back in - maybe east is somewhere you come back to for elemental stuff, you're king of North for a while but if you stay you get challengers and if you leave someone else takes over, and the library in West is somewhere you come to do research and powerful casters might come looking stuff up.
