Message: <blockquote data-quote="orbitalfreak" data-source="post: 1084295" data-attributes="member: 1669">Almost everything's hunky-dory in my neck of the woods.  I don't have any health issues, even though I don't live a healthy lifestyle.  Money's a little tight right now, and I have (checks wallet and checkbook) $160 to last me until mid-September.  Good thing the next book I want is coming out in October (BoED)!Things are good at home.  My sister's still growing up, and is one heck of a genius.  Our new kittens are making themselves at home, and have killed the shower curtain in the process.  My stepdad has almost single-handedly doubled the revenue of the company he works for.  My mom is finally seeing that she's almost through with college, getting a degree in General Studies.  We bought four more calves at auction (total now is 6), and they look like they'll live; a couple looked like they wouldn't make it at first.  With luck, in a few months, we'll have four or five of them sold (>$300 each), with the rest going into our freezer.School's been amazing.  I'm in my second-to-last semester now.  Taking 20 hours of classes, but it doesn't look too overwhelming.  Three classes are in Math, and the rest are low-level courses which won't give me trouble.  Shouldn't be a hard semester.  A friend and I are working on a research project in math.  This is my third, and her second, and our first to do one as a team.  We're getting funded by the university to do this, to the tune of $1500 to split between us.  Some mathematics software, programs and hardware for presentations (including an <a href="http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=578845" target="_blank">awesome mouse!</a> ).  I think we'll manage to each get an ATI Radeon 9800 All-in-Wonder graphics card too,[b.s.}]"to use its advanced graphical rendering processes to aid us in creating dynamic slides for presentation of our research."[/b.s.] <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" />  It's cool hanging out with her, as well as faculty on campus.  Our faculty advisor for the research is a real hoot, and we chat with him whenever we can.  I'm also hanging out with my physics professor, talking about getting a bachelors in physics after getting a doctorate in math.  He just lent me a copy of a book on relativity, so I've got somethig to keep me occupied until school starts on Monday.</blockquote>
