That was a fun episode. It was nice to see Jack and Sam kissing in the ship, they needed to do that for years.

I also loved the end...with the fish.

Oh, and wasn't "Gateship" what Ford originally wanted to call the Puddle Jumpers?

I think so, but I really don't recall. I did like how Daniel was on the same page understanding the meaning of Gateship.

Wonderful and just two weeks ago, I was saying how that really was a great extended show and how it looked like it could have been a season ender. Lot of fun bits in this one. One of the best 'time' shows ever.

Eh. Still not happy with it, but then again I don't like time-travel stories much anyway.

And the fish should have stayed out of the pond.

SG-1 is the weakest hour on Sci fi Friday right now imho. Chessy feel good episode where in the last 7 minutes everything is made right, magically almost. Way to much Deus Ex Machina this season of SG-1.

HDA seems like he is phoning it in, or rather I should say it seems like he is acting as if there is nowhere left to explore in the character of "Jack o'neill".

This episode didn't feel like a season finale. I don't think they've had a real cliffhanger since season 4 (Yes, yes, there was that 'Fate of Jack O'Neill thing at the end of 6, but c'mon). The commercials and spoilers made it look more fun than it was, they hinted at multiple changes with whacky variations.

It seems to me that it's not the actors that are phoning it in, but the writers. I feel they've lost inspiration for this show and won't let it go out with dignity. If I recall correctly, I give this episode a C. There were still enjoyable bits, but it's too long in the tooth.

I would be completely happy if they would have swapped the last two episodes with the previous two episodes. After Star Trek abusing the heck out of time travel, it should only be used for only filler episodes, if at all. I did think putting fish in the pond at the end was clever.
