So, are spoilers okay in these threads or not? I'm assuming that anybody reading this thread has seen up to this episode and I'm not going to sblock anything that happened in it. If that's wrong I'll come back and edit. :p

I will bet money that we haven't seen the last of Telford.

I think the aliens reversed the transfer out of self-preservation, not out of any desire to hurt Destiny. They didn't kill Rush when they found him at the controls, so I feel like they're probably not going to kill Telford, either.

They also didn't undock the ships which, if they knew enough about the controls to reverse the power flow, they might have been able to do. They seemingly don't look on humans as a threat so much so as uninformed and bad cooks.

I'm trying to remember the exact sequence of events, but could Rush have reversed the power flow(blaming the aliens)? From the main bridge, he most certainly could have halted the power transfer.

We all know he doesn't want to go home.

It's possible. I think they didn't notice the transfer until Rush was KO'd by aliens, but he was alone there for a while before the aliens came.

His reaction when he detached the ships makes me uncertain, but I do remember thinking "hey, wait a second, what's his angle?" when he was the one who suggested the power transfer in the first place.

Maybe they shot Rush *because* they saw him reverse the power flow.

He wasn't going to tell the crew about the possibility of going home, but then Eli figured it out and he decided to go along with it. Rush isn't evil, he's conflicted.

Rush didn't reverse the power, the aliens did. Quite likely out of a sense of self preservation. When Rush came too after being shot, he realized the crew's best bet for survival was to decouple the ships, so that's what he did. Young would have done it too, but Eli couldn't figure out how to do it.

I think we haven't seen the last of Telford, too. And thus probably the ship and the aliens.

I do wonder, though, what it means if the Seed ship's engine failed there. Would this imply there aren't any more gates to come? Or were there more ships along the same path?

Why would they want all of the power sucked out of their home? They probably had the same reaction to the original power flow as the Destiny crew had to the reverse power flow.

I seem to recall that they originally referred to it as "one of the seed ships". The show would be no fun if Destiny moved on and there were no more stargates. Remember, the show is still called "Stargate". :)
