Stone Week being first big series Derik has done since Dagger Week makes me happy. Now, back to converting ST into a DH frame...(it's okay, I'm already running a Stonetop game)

My players would revolt if I tried to run something like Stonetop. (The Bushcraft rolls in Dragonbane took it too far already.)
Might still pick this up in PDF just to read through the design.
1) They don't want to be involved in the world-building process. Why would they revolt?
I think these are more common than we might like to think. I have some very strong players who don't want to be involved with world building. I was surprised when I first encountered this with a really good player. I think there's a "play stance" where this just isn't appropriate.1) They don't want to be involved in the world-building process.
2) They don't want to do "boring" stuff (i.e. "non-adventuring stuff.")
3) The Powered by the Apocalypse engine is too GM-fiat based, and the rules too wishy-washy for them.
4) Numbers don't go brrr.
5) Not fantastic enough.
It is a wise GM who understands their players.1) They don't want to be involved in the world-building process.
2) They don't want to do "boring" stuff (i.e. "non-adventuring stuff.")
3) The Powered by the Apocalypse engine is too GM-fiat based, and the rules too wishy-washy for them.
4) Numbers don't go brrr.
5) Not fantastic enough.
