Strange Dr who question

Ok so I just rewatched the classic 3rd Dr planet of the spiders as they are free on YouTube and quality was good

Now here’s my question. The 3rd Dr dies of a form of radiation while he was in the queens chamber. Now I have this old memory ( very old) of what I thought was the Dr escaping the spiders area and just before a spider bites him on the back. Is this from another series/another Dr even or even another show. I can totally picture the scene but google has been useless

The only other similar incident I recall was "Turn Left," a David Tennant episode in which his companion Donna Noble gets a giant beetle on her back.

I watched Planet of the Spiders when it was first shown, and radiation was definitely the cause of regeneration. The Metabelis 3 spiders don’t do biting - they are far too sophisticated! They do jump onto the backs of humans they are mind controlling and disappear. This happens to Sarah quite early in the story, but not the Doctor.

Cybermats, which appear in the next season, like to jump up and bite people in the neck, the Doctor fights one off at one point.
