Spoilers Strange New Worlds s4

I liked today's episode. Fun premise, well executed. Though I could do without the Deus Ex ending, didn't think that was necessary.

So we learn, by the time Kirk becomes captain of the Enterprise:

1. Ortegas is fine, just no longer attached to the Enterprise;

2. La'an is almost certainly not fine. Something definitely happens to her by the time Kirk becomes Captain.
They were pretty explicit about Temporal anomalies which I think is a direct hint that Laan is going that way
be interesting to see if next seasons 'last miniseries' actually covers her Temporal recruitment

Too bad. La'an is interesting....

edit to add: not that I expect any star trek anytime soon, given the ownership....

That was really nice. A very wibbly wobbly episode, but in a good way. A lot of TAS cameos!

This season was a solid improvement over last season, so I'm content to call this a return to form after last season.

That was decent. I see they're basically saying that the relationship between Uhura and Scotty hinted at in STV is now actually confirmed. Loved Uhura and Chapel's TOS haircut.

M'Benga is on Vulcan (in TOS he appears in a couple of episodes as a 'Vulcan specialist') and Boyce is the acting CMO. Sounds like McCoy is already on the ship though, as they talked about 'Bones' taking over when Boyce left. First time I've heard anybody but Kirk call him Bones!

Did McCoy come with him from the Farragut? Do they have back-history? I don't recall the lore there.

No Sulu yet, so they have to bring in Ortegas to fly the shuttle. He's been cast, along with McCoy, for the final episode in s5.

I thought the La'an episode was fine, though her change did not feel quite down pat, but I had to cajole my Dad to get him to finish watching it.

I am sorry but I thought Space Baby was a trash episode and I cannot believe this was the season finale. Like, wtf. She jumps off the ship into a black hole? What. The. Actual. naughty word.

It wasn't an actual black hole I thought, basically just a house unit for the baby. Otherwise yeah I got nothing.

Also time dilation isn't a thing?

I don't think either of those things is necessarily true. They happened in the borked timeline. Whatever events happened might not happen or might not happen the same way.
