Subscribed thread - update only when thread starter posts?

Would this be possible:

An option such that when you subscribe to a thread, you are only notified of updates when the thread starter posts a reply. This would be particularly useful for story hour threads that are seldom updated by their originators but have lots of discussion and bump posts.

Oddly enough, I was thinking about this very thing this morning -- I agree with Joshua, it'd be a cool option to have.

In that case, I think that all story hours should be in a special forum in which only the thread originator can post replies to his own thread. Seriously, thanks for the quick reply, Utensil Minstrel.
