Well I googled it and its last season had 500k viewers. If eery one of them bought a ticket thats $5-10 million.

So TV show with few viewers would be C tier fo general audiences. May have heard of her.

Comics sell a lot less than 500k an issue these days.

A listers have been in movies 3 or 4 decades ar this point. A few B listers have had successful movies or more than 1. A list fairly obvious, B listers might be Blade. DR Strange. Ant Man.

Shes not on that level but she's not a D (due to that show).

Thats why I said C. B would be generous with other B lists anchoring successful movies.

Superman is one of the biggest ones in pop culture. Multiple successful movies since the 70s you forgot to mention. And successful movies recently lately last year. That Superman show in 90s was a bit of a hit shame about the actor.

I think he's been surpassed a lot by Spiderman tbh.

Even A listers cant guarantee successfully (Superman IV) or that 1997 Batman movie.

He's had a very good track record decade after decade including recently. Note I'm not a Superman fan I find him to American and kinda lame but results dont lie.

James Gunn should obviously just hire us, the humble media geeks at EN World, to make a superhero movie by committee. I am sure it will go completely gangbusters. What could possibly go wrong?

You haven't really debunked anything.

Shes not an A lister. I put some examples of B listers who are ahead of her in pop culture consciousness.

I would put her as a C lister. B is generous vs other B listers imho. Tp of C list or bottom of the B list would probably be right mho.

A D lister would be blue beetle. If you're not a comic book fan who the hell is he? Shes ahead of him. You might have heard off her via the show if you did not watch it.

Population 330 million USA.

Its a number. About 4% of the population.

The vast majority of people haven't watched anything she's in. Those who did 90%+ checked out. She hasn't been around consistently in population culture to the same extent as bigger super heros either or exploded since 2008.

And a cameo in a movie that did decently but low side for the big name super heroes. Se has some recognition but very little reason to care unless youre a hard core fan.

Also have to remember movies a large % tends to come from outside the USA.

Being unknown by itself isnt a deal breaker eg MCU. But you need momentum going forward. DC in particular has had a horrible run last few movies. They can claim a reboot but people will remember.

Theres other things going on as well probably super hero fatigue outside the big names, DC issues in particular. Scarface is probably even less known than she is but it has a drastically lower budget.
