I'm starting to feel this as well. Sheep Detective is on streaming now and the question I have is...if things come to streaming so quickly...and I have a massive TV at home in my own theater...what's the point of even going to the normal theater?

So you can be distracted by people on their phones? So you can pay ten bucks for greasy popcorn?

I still go to the theatre, but as I get older, I definitely get grumpier about it. Yet...there is something about it when it is an event and you are there with other people who are really into it. This seems like a film that will attract a more engaged audience.

lets just say sensible cat persons might read the trigger warnings for the movie before watching. Although its not that we see a cat suffering, its more that the cat owner suffers.

a) not everybody has a home theatre + I've yet to see the home setup that matches a good theatre.
b) some (like me) enjoy the cinema experience to watch a movie with a crowd. When you laugh with others at the jokes. When you hear sniffles around you at the end of a good drama. Or hear loud reactions in a horror movie. I just watched Obsession in theatre 2 weeks ago and at a very certain scary scene a girl behind me just said "oh HELL no" with a sassy voice and I love reactions like that. Hear the talks about the movie afterwards. I often start talks with strangers when they say something interesting in the theatre lobby after the movie.

I also watch movies at home of course, but for special movies I like the social experience of it. Also while I have a good TV and a good home audio setup, nothing beats the deep sound systems of a good theatre. I really look forward for Odyssee tonight in my favorite theatre - I would've preferred watching it there even if it would've been released for streaming at the same time. Some movies are just made for theatre. I watched Arrival 5 or 6 times now, but nothing will meet the first time when I watched in theatre. Mindblowing full-body experience. Same with Nolans movies or Dilleneuve. But even a good character actor movie like "The Drama" really profits from the big screen IMO when you easily spot slight movements in the actors face, small changes of lines of view etc.

That being said, Sheep Detective seems like a perfect movie to stream.

You can get a Ruthye Funko Pop on Amazon but not the soundtrack. They have the 1984 Supergirl soundtrack on vinyl but not the new one. Not even a placeholder for one to preorder. That was a rocking soundtrack.

Yeah, I was surprised by the lack of soundtrack. My suspicion is that the extra cost to distribute the songs as an album only make sense, financially, if they thought a lot more people would buy it -- and that's based on ticket sales.
