Home Base: Towers
Towers is a survivor enclave in the south of the North Ports. It consists of a collection of five apartment crumbling apartment buildings that date to before the Catastrophe and following Martian Civil War. The buildings would not stand at all except for the tireless, mindless efforts of the maintenance robots. Even they can barely keep up with the buildings’ deterioration and sooner or later Towers will collapse under the weight of the apocalypse.
Towers once housed the staff that operated the now abandoned and defunct space port to the west of the enclave. The red sands of Mars encroach from the southeast while the poisonous sea encroaches from the west. Perhaps Towers will have to be abandoned before the buildings have a chance to collapse, after all.
Towers is not a unified town. Instead, each of the five apartment buildings is ruled by a different leader and houses a different faction. However, these factions operate under a tenuous alliance to repel raiders and monsters and farm the area surrounding towers for food. Trust is in short supply between members of the factions, but so far the threats outside the enclave have helped keep the peace.
