Syfy's New Year's Twilight Zone marathon (Thursday, 12/31/09 - Saturday, 1/2/10)

Who else here is looking forward to all (or more likely, at least part) of this annual tradition?

While I won't be able to watch a large chunk of the marathon, it's still cool to be able to record and watch certain favorite episodes (though I also always seem to find an episode or two that I'd never seen or that I hadn't seen in a long time). Also, if one still can't go to sleep after returning from a New Year's party, the marathon provides perhaps the only good thing to watch that late at night after the New Year's shows have long since ended.

It's good, but once they came out on DVD I made sure I've seen them all.

I alternate each year between Twilight Zone and Honeymooners marathons. The Kramdens and the Nortons are up this year, if they're even having a marathon.

Twilight Zone is an enigma. There are some brilliant TZ episodes that stand the test of time. Others are not so great.

What else are you going to do on New Years anyway?

According to both here and here (and I'm sure at other sites as well), the marathon's episodes will be be uncut and include special interstitials between episodes.

From what I watched, this wasn't true. In fact the commercial breaks were annoyingly frequent, and seemed even longer than the bits of show they were interrupting. I would have enjoyed it if I could have watched more than 5 minutes of an episode without a commercial.

No Honeymooners to be found this year, so I alternated between TZ (SyFy) and Doctor Who (BBC-A) marathons on January 1.
