There's someone still running classic at one of the local cons

We played a lot of Car Wars ‘back in the day’ and I picked up 6e when it came out.

With the original system I based up some micro machines to play with:

I just picked up 5 Leagues from the Borderland, plus the Companion, from Modiphious. They are half price at the moment for the book, so book + PDF for the normal price of just the PDF.

So, us mercs were sent to deal with some separatists during a major electrical storm. Each round there was something wrecking havoc on us. Either cutting our sensor locks off, decreasing visibility, or even lightning striking our mechs. We managed to put the rebellion down despite the hellish conditions of the battlefield.

lol yeah I dont think the GM expected us to be so aggressive. The warhammer and Thunderbolt though were still operable but had almost no armor left by the end.

Two tank units and two speeder units.

And, with a bit of a following wind, more troops and close air support

I have about another two or three batches of minis to paint, so with continued momentum the army should be complete in the next few days.
