Taladas. Is it still going ahead?

The only reason I'd start a DL campaign is if I could start it on Taladas.

Is it still going ahead?

How are the new DL publications selling? Or, are they going to die like many other d20 campaign settings?

You have to forgive me if I'm not finding out all this stuff from the Draganlance Nexus site. I'm not a hardcore fan but was contemplating starting a campaign.

[It would be after the Chaos War and there'd be no magic. No mystics either. Maybe psionics, though . . .]

Also, have Weis and Hickman drafted up map of the globe yet. Even GH and the Realms have outlines of the continents for their planets. I'd love to see *exactly* what Krynn looks like. Are Taladas and Ansalon the only *civilised* continents?

Thanks.

well, there is a taladas trilogy in the works, with the first novel coming in april, by the excellent Chris Pierson. Jamie Chambers has said that they're gonna wait till the trilogy is done before working on any taladas game material, since they'd rather Chris set the tone first before going and contradicting him accidentally. DL is doing rather well for what it is, given that Key of Destiny and the Bestiary are both going to be reprinted sometime in the near future.

The only global map of DL we have is in the Otherlands supplement, but it's out of date. Aside from Taladas and Ansalon, we have the Tarmak (brute) continent, which had three cultures on it. This continent was mapped out in the third volume of the Linsha trilogy which came out last month.

if you're going to run a fifth age Taladas campaign, the best possible resource is http://www.geocities.com/taladasnet/index.html
Even Pierson is using this as background for his novels. The rules are in SAGA and 2nd ed, but pretty easily convertable.

Let me add that Taladas is the bomb for the DL universe. I liked Ansalon and the novel and whatnot, but I'd only ever run a game in Taladas. Minotaurs rule. :D
