Amazon still sells the dice sets. They're currently $18 per set.

In theory, I think this is great. Clean up the talent trees and all that.There's also a small fan-led effort to redo the career specialization to better adapt them to later sensibilities in the system, as some of the earlier stuff is less interesting than what comes later (as tends to happen over the lifetime of a system).
