I really hate FFG’s version. Give me Saga system any day of the week.
Honestly, FFG version is a bit dead now.
Seconded.Counterpoint. I really like the FFG version and IMO it's the best Star Wars rpg we've had.
I hope it get's a revival.
Which is cool. I have played d6, Saga, FFG. I stopped playing FFG version after 6 sessions. I bounced off it hard.Counterpoint. I really like the FFG version and IMO it's the best Star Wars rpg we've had.

Saga had a lot of interesting sourcebooks, but the few times I tried playing it it felt like D&D with a Star Wars paintjob. It also has the D&D problem of starting characters being incompetent buffoons and rapidly gaining extreme competence, whereas FFG is significantly flatter which feels more Star Warsy to me. In A New Hope, neither Luke, nor Leia, nor Han, nor Chewbacca are the equivalents of 1st level Star Wars Saga characters.I really hate FFG’s version. Give me Saga system any day of the week.

We all know the LucasFilm license is weird — PDFs being a digital game and belonging to computer game license — I would guess it's all of tabletop and therefor it will remain where it is because Asmodee will want to keep that.At the very least, it does feel like the RPG license is going to be up for renewal or someone else swooping in and taking it over.
In theory, I think this is great. Clean up the talent trees and all that.
They did mess up the Ambassador one though since they want it to be closer to what Leia odes — who despite being called ambassador in the first movie, is very much more in the Commander career rather than a Diplomat. Which is even pointed out in the books.
