i mean we either get a trailer that explains EVERYTHING which people hate,or we get the mystery trailer which doesn't really tell you anything, or we get something like this where possibly plot holes are explained in the movie itself and not the trailer.

After watching the trailer last night, I found myself wondering what this film could be like if the people of this neighborhood had wound up in a D&D setting instead. "Meet your new neighbors."

If you can't tell by the clothes, it's set in the 1980s. A description I read says the neighborhood is transported to the past.
It's a time travel movie, not an alien invasion. I doubt that it's connected to Cloverfield, but who knows with JJ Abrams.

I think I am a bit surprised to see a movie where Ewan MacGregor and Anne Hathaway are a couple but I like them both so I will take it. I guess she is older than his actual wife, who is the same age as me.
