The Exiern comic thread

While OOTS has been on hiatus, I've been enjoying Exiern.

Please note that while the comic itself is PG (strategically placed speech bubbles are one of the running gags), there can be NSFW ads, and the author does advertise NSFW stuff (no worse than nudity) on linked pages (subscribers get access to NSFW pics), so I wouldn't read it at work.

So, what do people think of Faden, Typhan-knee, Peonie, et al? What about the running gags like the unicorn, the speech bubbles, the breaking of the 4th wall etc?

What do you think about the pace?

I'll start by saying that I think that Faden is deliciously nasty.

Because of the source material, I've cleared this with the mods.

I gave it a look. Some of it's kinda funny, but I wondered if The Le Games had anything to do with it. It's got, um, just a bit of cheesecake.

Really, the only thing I liked it for was the villain, but that wasn't enough to keep me interested.

The genderswap thing kind of threw me off.

Especially considering how well the barbarian maintains makeup and manicures.

The boob handling? The barbarian automatically gaining red nail polish when he turns into a woman? The grossly disproportionate barbie doll figures complete with nipples at high alert? Bath scenes? This is bordering on softcore porn. I'm guessing the author/artist has some sort of fetish. This comic is a good way to scare women away from the hobby.

Okay I admit I laughed, I wonder if anyone asked why the unicorn liked the male barbarian so much?

I did wonder why the evil wizard suddenly lost his robe and looked more like a red haired thief but so far an interesting tale!

Guess I haven't read enough to be put off yet so thanks for the link!
