Hey everyone, I previously posted about how I am capturing spell popularity data by counting how many spells get added to spellbooks on my site 5e Spellbook Builder.

Well I got to a fun milestone: 100,000 spells have been added to spellbooks. So I decided to geek out just a bit further on this data and build a couple of interactive graphs to visualize how popular and rare spells are in D&D.

From looking at the second spread, there does seem to be a bias towards lower-level spells, often from spells levels only 1 and 2, in the "iconic" quadrant. Similarly, there is a strong bias towards level 6+ spells in the "unknown" quadrant. I wonder why
