I really don't get all the calls for historical accuracy. This isn't history, it's mythology. It's fine to recontextualize or artistically approach it differently.

There have been a bunch of movies about Odysseus of varying adaptations of the Odyssey. What I'd like to see is a movie adaptation of Madeline Miller's Circe.

She wove the Greek mythology beautifully in that book.
I have meant to pick up more of her books.

The end point of this is that the whole movie should be Greek and Turkish actors. Which, OK, but I don't think that's what most people are actually asking for. And if they're not, where do we draw the line and why?
