My sympathy, man. Every dog I've lost has wrecked me.
Thanks. It's damn tough. My kids were very little when we got her as a puppy (she lived to be 14). They're grown now, but they still live at home, and they barely remember their lives before her.

She really was a good girl, too. Even by Golden Retriever standards. Didn't bark. Kind to the various cats (even when they were mean to her). Loved children & pets. Sure, she was a notorious food thief.

I'm gonna miss her terribly. Still, I'm hanging in there. Thanks for the support!

I just found this picture on this thread from six years ago, way back in its early pages. I remember that I saw this thread and I took this picture in the moment with my laptop's camera and posted it right away. Here she was back then, in her younger days (though she was eight, so she wasn't super young, but she'd been so old lately that this looks really young to me).
