The official EN World puppy/doggo thread

Well, dog hunt 2026 is complete!

In the next week+, we'll be picking up 2 young rescued BC siblings. Surprisingly, a girl and a boy!

(Our first boy dog in 50+ years).

We met the sis in Frisco (TX) today, and committed to taking her. Then- prompted by our discussion- the lady from the rescue mentioned she had a brother. We talked on the way home, and by dinner time, we decided to add her brother to the deal.

They're small for the breed, possibly mixed, and smooth coats instead of rough.

THE CHAOS HAS BEGUN!

1) there’s a reason they’re called “poo/pees”.

2) the documents from the rescue indicated they both knew how to use a per door. This is 100% true. They don’t always know WHEN, yet.

3) Charlotte ACTS like a big sis. She’s a hugger/cuddler. A bit more reserved & sedate. A bit more protective of the yard.

4) Marcus is the adventurer/instigator and kiss ninja. In his first 45seconds out of our car at the house, he found an old rat carcass under the fence (I got it away from him quickly). He figured out how to jump on the sofa this morning.

5) They’ve discovered a section of the yard I’m calling “Narnia”. To get to it, you have to crouch as you pass through a tunnel formed by our shrubs and the neighbor’s honeysuckle. They LOVE it.
