The One Ring is getting a new edition and a hardcover bestiary

Free League is launching a crowdfunder for a revised edition of its The One Ring game, which is currently in its second edition.

The first edition of The One Ring was released by Cubicle 7 in 2011. Free League released the second edition in 2022. The publisher says that this revised edition "remains fully compatible with every previously published supplement and adventure, while refining the core rules through additional proofreading and clarification."

Along with the new edition of the game, the crowdfunder will include a hardcover bestiary called Creatures Strange and Foul, and a campaign expansion, The White Tower and the Hall of Gold, which explores the lands of Rohan and Gondor.

The bestiary and campaign expansion will also be available for the 5E adaptation, The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying, under the titles Realms of the South and Of Orcs and Evil Things.

Am I understanding this correctly, there is no way to get the bestiary and Gondor PDFs by themselves, I have to also get the revised core?

They are definitely available as add-ons. I just don't know what you would get as a basic pledge. I have less experience with BackerKit. Can you do a 1$ pledge, and then get them as addons?

Even if you can't, most folks who run their entire crowdfunding campaign via Backerkit seem to open up a pre-order store pretty fast and let everyone buy things individually for the same prices as in the campaign.

Haven’t seen that option, which leaves the core PDF as the cheapest way in, but I do not need / want that one…

Agreed. I would like to see below bundles available:

The 2 pdfs for Rohan and gondor / bestiary.

The 2 standard books for above, ideally at discount to the 2 x 44 for individual plus add on.

@Tomas Free League is that something that would be possible?
