With the release of the latest Chroncles and Legends Omnibus editions (the black and gold books), is anybody in the know aware of any plans for a similar treatment for the Second Generation and Dragons of Summer Flame?
That one I would get, Summer Flames can rot in hellI’d prefer a Lost Chronicles omnibus (or a Chronicles omnibus including the Lost Chronicles) myself.
I don’t think even Weis and Hickman are happy with Summer Flame.

The three original Dragonlance Omnibus books back in the day were Chronicles, Legends, and Tales.
One reason that I've heard is that Weiss and Hickman never wanted to do a Summer Flame in the First place, and in that light, the Destinies Trilogy basically (and this is a spoiler)
"renders the entire possibilities of Dragons of Summer Flame and beyond almost an impossibility to happen
In otherwords, there will probably never be an Omnibus with Dragons of Summer Flame again, and the "Wanna Bet" story in Tales may have to be rewritten.
I'd say there is probably a better chance of a Destinies Omnibus than there would be for a Second Generation/Summer Flame Omnibus to occur.
I'd say even a Lost Chronicles Omnibus is more likely than a Second Generation/Summer Flame Omnibus at this point.
My understanding is that they were unhappy with it because they wanted to make it into a trilogy, not because of the contentI’d prefer a Lost Chronicles omnibus (or a Chronicles omnibus including the Lost Chronicles) myself.

Nine, surely, to include the Destinies trilogy? What Destinies does so well is create a clean slate for Dragonlance. The buy-in to get to the current year was at around 20 books, which was way too much. Now we're back to the "Holy Six" (the term for Chronicles and Legends that DL fans use so well).
Twelve if you include Lost Chronicles.Nine, surely, to include the Destinies trilogy?
