Dragonlance The Second Generation/Dragons of Summer Flame Omnibus inquiry

With the release of the latest Chroncles and Legends Omnibus editions (the black and gold books), is anybody in the know aware of any plans for a similar treatment for the Second Generation and Dragons of Summer Flame?
Do you mean Second Generation and Summer Flame under the "Classic Dragonlance" brand? I assume this was happening. Didn't know it needed an official statement

I am more inclined to include Lost Chronicles, Destinies ‘just’ resets the things to after Legends so you do not really need it if you stop there to begin with (and Lost Chronicles are really optional too)
I was born when Lost Chronicles was coming out. Destinies trilogy was the first time I read Dragonlance as new books. The first time I read it I thought it reset to after Legends too. Kind of like a Kelvin timeline. I didn't really like that. Then I read it a second time and started thinking about it some more. When I read it the third time I realized that they don't really reset anything and quietly leave enough clues to tell you that Summer Flame is supposed to happen. I've read about the term "Holy Six" before in talking about Chronicles and Legends. When I read that, I just take it as stubborn old people being stubborn old people... no offense. To me the best part of Dragonlance is Summer Flame with the War of Souls a close second. Chronicles and Legends is one part of Dragonlance but it's not the best part

you may be right, at best it is ambivalent. I prefer it to undo the whole Summer Flame and beyond timeline. In my canon that never happened in the first place ;)

tastes differ. To me Second Generation and Summer Flame ruined everything that made DL and I certainly would have taken the world in a different direction than the 5th Age did, more of a continuation than this complete overhaul that made nothing matter that came before. Never cared for the Dragon Overlords either

Summer Flame is the best. Why would she not consider it canon?

Dragons of Summer Flame was originally set to be a trilogy, but it got shrunk down to one novel. It didn't read the best because of that.

Think of it this way. It's like an artist looking back on a prior painting and saying that it's not their best work, even though you and I may love it.

Also, Margaret has said that the way that Chaos is presented in Destinies is her preferred vision of Chaos.

Excuse me while I get my walker and yell at some kids to get off my lawn. 😯🙀

The way it's left off, Second Generation, Summer Flame, and the Age of Mortals (Fifth Age) are all still possibilities. It's up to the reader to decide what is true to them.

I've heard that term since about November 2000. It's a term referring to the core heart of Dragonlance. It's definitely not an old person thing.

What I loved the most about Second Generation and Dragons of Summer Flame was the Knights of Takhisis.

War of Souls is designed to bring a split fandom back together again. At the time, you had 4th age fans vs 5th age fans, D&D fans vs SAGA fans, and a lot of back-and-forth in the early online community.
