If someone hosts game nights at their house, and you state that if they only want to host games they want to play in, you'll call them a bad person and consider them not a friend, then as far as I'm concerned that's a demand that they host games they don't want to play. You may not actually use the word 'demand', but that's clearly what's going on.

"I'm not demanding anything, I'm just saying that if you only host games you want to play and decline to host this game I want you to host, I don't consider you a friend and will cut ties with you" sounds like there's actually a demand in there to me.

Again, you’re twisting it. It’s not a question of them hosting things they don’t like, it’s about them not leveraging their status as host to dictate what is played.
