Level Up (A5E) Thinking of replacing exertion with a simple HP cost

I don't like that exertion is another resource that my players have to track and they don't like it either. So I was thinking of just turning all of the exertion costs into HP costs in the game and giving everyone an extra hit die of health. Does anyone have any insight into how this will affect the game? I know there are a few heal for exertion point abilities here and there, and I'd just remove them. .
