And amazingly enough I'm not talking about Dungeon Crawl Classics :eek:

I noticed a link to this blog posted on Knights and Knaves and holy crap what a find. To put it quickly it's a blow by blow account of an OD&D campaign running between 1975 and 1977. It's pretty crazy, you have adventures where well over a dozen PC's go into a gonzo illogical dungeon, half of them die, the survivors recruit more and repeat. They use level titles to describe the PC's. It's like an archeological dig into the earliest days of the hobby. Really cool.

Ooh - there's a rules clarification there that XP is gained only for treasure and monsters killed - sleeping, charming & driving off monsters is NOT worth XP! :)

But the entire thing is a brilliant document.

Yeah, I like the fact that they actually phoned Gary to get the rules clarification too.
