6E Theory Thoughts on the balance of classes across editions (past, present, future)

Musings about what 6E would be like, hypothetically.
Sorry, but, none of that post was addressed to you.

Yes it was here are posts:

So how should I answer the question you asked in a reply to me (linked above post #828) if I am not to use examples from play?

I feel tactical mind, especially for a fighter, would have been better if it would have went towards saving throws.

That would be powerful as heck in combat (and at high levels redudant with Indomitable), but it would not help the other pillars.

I personally would not be a fan of this as I am not a fan of the current indomitable. Changing indomitable to the weaker 2014 version is one of the few class ability houserule changes I make in some 2024 games I DM.

Seen the new indomitable?
I did, but have forgotten it. I have been so busy reading other stuff that... well, you get it.

Looks it up in book.

Nice! That is what we always thought was missing. Of course, level 9 is a distance to go, but still pretty nice. A +9 off the bat for any saving throw is incredible. Once per long rest seems fair.

10+ level champion fighters with mage slayer are a ton of fun when dealing with saving throws. You have one automatic pass, plus indominable, plus heroic inspiration for another try every round. If you can throw in magical protection (like intellect fortress or a mantle of spell resistance) even better, and of course you'll be happy if you're paired with a paladin buddy for the aura.

I've seen that with lucky feat iirc mixed in there. Well played it as well in a level 12 3 shot.

DM struggled to land a save or suck and it was the nastiest fighter I've seen since 2E. Think it had resilient wisdom as well.

Elf version ha elven accuracy and vex with dual wielding and vicious weapons. First one had a pole arm iirc and GWM, mage slayer, resilient wisdom maybe sentinel.

Alert feat swap initiative with Sorcerer, twin hold monster proceed to feed. Cleave and hew into 2 paralyzed giants action surge.
