Three Spell lists or two?

So, I was recently turned on to the Dragon Compendium in This Thread and have had an enjoyable time reading a new book.

I've come to the Savant class, which is kinda nifty, and notice that it has two spell lists. Nothing incredibly powerful, but definitely unique.

So I got to thinking, if I took Savant to level 10 in order to access the second spell list (For those of you not familiar, Savant gains access to an Arcane spell list at level 5, and a second Divine spell list at level 10), than took, lets say, 2 levels of UrPriest, could I then take 8 more levels of Mystic Thurge to raise all three spell lists in progression?

The Savant is not described as either an Arcane or Divine caster, but a class that can cast both Arcane and Divine spells.

Mystic theurge adds to 1 arcane casting class and 1 divine casting class (player's choice)

" If a character had more than one arcane spellcasting class or more than one divine spellcasting class before he became a mystic theurge, he must decide to which class he adds each level of mystic theurge for the purpose of determining spells per day."

That looks pretty cut and dried. Savant is both an arcane and a divine casting class. Ur-Priest is divine. So you effectively have two divine and one arcane casting classes. Mystic Theurge explicitly states it can only advance one of either. To me this makes it clear that MT will only advance:

EITHER Savant's arcane casting and Ur-Priest's divine casting, but not Savant's divine casting;

OR Savant's arcane casting and Savant's divine casting, but not Ur-Priest's divine casting.

(Emphasis mine)

This is where I'm wrestling with it though. There are only 2 Classes. There are three spell lists. Savant is one class that has two spell lists.

If you advance the Savant class, than you advance all of that classes spell lists, right?

I know, I'm being picky. The reality is the Savant is terribly underpowered in magic and so ultimately this isn't a useful build.

But it's the principle!

No, you advance 1 arcane spell casting class and 1 divine spell casting class.

I do not have the dragon article to check on specific wording for the Savant class but if it is "neither" then mystic theurge won't help at all, if it is both (and they both have separate advancements) then you advance both by using both the arcane and divine casting class advancement of the mystic theurge.

But the Savant, as a class, is neither explicitly an Arcane casting class nor a Divine one. It's both.

Because of that, I'm not sure that Mystic Thurge is applicable here.

My answer too.

Ok, I'm convinced. Thanks guys!

This was purely a mental exercise, I'm not really impressed with the Savant Class.

If I could justify the 3 spell list increase, I'd no doubt then more forward in finding some powergaming, obscene loopehole to exploit in making it ridiculous. But alas, no dice.
