That's interesting.

I had all the cards as a kid. Which my Mother lovingly put into a nice binder with plastic sleeves, and then refused to let me see the movie. I‘m still salty about that.
Have you seen the movie later in life? I'm pretty sure she did you a favor.

I only know it by reputation, but when I just looked it up on IMDB, the site recommended "More Like This" that were all other bad to infamously terrible children's movies I have seen (to wit, "North", "Richie Rich" and "Mac and Me") and they all have higher ratings. We're sub "Mac and Me" here! Yes children enjoy terrible media sometimes, but surely there must be some floor to that.

Yesterday I found out that there's going to be an installation of a CF-100 Fighter/Interceptor and an 80% scale mock-up of the AVRO Arrow in Malton, Ontario, Canada and someone in an aviation Facebook group asked if I could go have a look. The Arrow isn't there yet, but the CF-100 "Canuck" is in place.

For those who don't know, the Arrow was an Canadian advanced Fighter/Interceptor project, in the late 1950s/early 1960s, that might well have been the most advanced military aircraft of its time. The project was killed as part of a defence deal with the US. A goodly number of the engineers who were working on the Arrow project went to work for NASA, after the project was shuttered and the test aircraft cut up.

Here's the Canuck.
