I have both. I would say they share the same philsophy where it comes to create PCs and NPCs. However, Grim Tales is d20, and thus you can still use most of your d20 books with it, which is not really the case with True20 despite conversion guidelines (it's feasible but requires much tedious work). On the other hand, Grim Tales being d20, takes longer prep time and a slower paced game. Lastly, concerning magic, GT spellcasters are probably much less effective than True20 spellcasters.shadoe said:So how does True 20 compare to Grim Tales?
Kirin'Tor said:Taking the risk of self-pimping, I'd say come over the the GT-SRD (see sig) and see what you think of Grim Tales for yourself.
Felon said:Looks great. Do you incorporate the Mythic Heroes material (or plan to)?
Kirin'Tor said:Indeed, at this time the GT-SRD is complete (barring any errors), and there aren't any plans to add more material to it. If Ben wanted more material added to it, I'd be more than happy to do so.
