Unearthed Arcana UA subclass second chances

The revised Ranger (specifically the 9/9/2015 version, cause they tried to revise it multiple times) is the one I would most like to see revised because I really liked that one and I really do not like where the Ranger ended up in 5.5e.

I’d also like to see the Oath of Treachery come back, it did the Oathbreaker concept much better than the actual Oathbreaker in my opinion - as a fallen Paladin with powers based around deception, instead of an antipaladin with powers themed around evil and necoromancy.

And, although the Raven Queen is admittedly too specific a Patron for how 5e handles Patrons, I did really like the whole gimmick of getting a special familiar that you can actually merge into the body of. I’d love to even just see the mechanical concept get another shot, maybe as an invocation or set of invocations for pact of the chain.
Raven Queen Patron is still to this day my fave Warlock subclass. And I still think the Revised Ranger was absolutely in the right direction for the class. Including on how to do Pet Classes best.

Isn't the Raven Queen an Archfey?
She is a goddess of death who the Shadar-Kai worship and follow. Pretty much when ya die, she's the one who transitions your soul along to the proper branches in the Fuge Plane so Kelevmor can do his thing and see who gets directed to the deities that they are supposed to go to. Vecna, The Prince of Frost, Orcus, and Lolth ABSOLUTELY hate her guts and are considered her enemies. Needless to say, that means their worshippers aren't fond of her either and oppose the Shadar-Kai.

The Raven Queen is not fond of intelligent undead NOR those who try to cheat death in anyway whatsoever. That goes against the cycle of death and the system she manages. Depending on 4E/5E lore, she was an Elven/Half-Elven Sorceress who killed the previous god of death(Nerull) and took his power. Later, stuff happened, her mortal body died in a ritual, and she was "forced" to accept the death goddess role. Moradin, Pelor, Corellon Larethrian, and Sehanine Moonbow are probably the "kinda closest" allies she has. (They were the ones who had her kill Nerull and "vouched" for the Raven Queen when the other gods were deciding to make her a death goddess or destroy her).

In Critical Role, the Matron of Ravens is her legally distinct name.

Stone Sorcerer
The Psion class with the Psi Die mechanic instead of the Sorcerer we got.
Brute fighter. It's what Champion should have been.

I was not a fan of the UA revised Ranger, but I did like the Tasha's Ranger and I think that was better than what we got in 2015.

Two things I would like particularly are 2024 aren't the also-rans, but the near-misses -- updates to some of the 2014 subclasses:

1. Horizon Walker Ranger. It has to be able to open up access to the planes (and not just smell portals) -- cast Plane Shift as a ritual without material components, 1/long rest is all I need -- ideally as the level 11 ability (before the spell becomes available to casters).

2. Divine Soul Sorcerer. I had really hoped that the 2024 PHB handbook would let Sorcerers choose a spell list (opting into the Cleric list or Druid list if they wanted) instead of the Sorc list; but it could still be a subclass. (I wanted an ability like the choice Clerics and Druids make at level 1).

I'd also like updates to some of the monstrous species for 2024 (goblinoids, kobolds, centaurs, lizardfolk, minotaurs). I suspect it will come some time in 2027, but I know it would appeal to me and my players. I know that's not the question, though.

Generally, browsing through this, there are a number of abandoned or neutered (divine soul) sorcerer subclasses which are considerably more interesting thematically and/or mechanically than current offerings (e.g. clockwork, demon). I do think WotC should do some searching through their archives for things to revisit. The element themed sorcerers were clearly held back by the idea that they couldn't possibly give them an expanded spell list!

Personally, I would also like some of the more flavourful warlock invocations revisited.
