UA whirling frenzy and evasion

hong

WotC's bitch
A barbarian with the whirling frenzy ability from UA gets evasion at 14th level, instead of indomitable will. According to the DMG, monks and rogues can only use evasion if wearing light or no armour. Would it be reasonable to put the same limit on a barb?

That's how I'd have it work. Of course, there's one evasion ability that doesn't have that restriction -- the giant eagle's. Of course I think that's silly... but it's the RAW.

Hmm. Haven't seen so many giant eagles with medium armour.

And, as written, the Ring of Evasion.

Unless you have a level in Rogue or Monk, in which case you can't use a Ring of Evasion in Medium armor.
