Verdant Lord and Plant Domain

Can someone with plant domain turn a verdant lord?

I would say no.

They are not truly plants.

They dont get Immunity to Crits and Sneak Attack.
They Dont get Immunity to Mind Altering affects.
Or to Disease or Poison.

So there is really no difference other than having the [Plant] sub-type on your character sheet.

Other than that they are the same as the race they started with.

Check the Gaea's Embrace class ability description, which the Verdant Lord gets at 10th level. They do get everything that you list above, except for disease immunity (which plants don't have anyway). And the Verdant Lord "permanently becomes a plant creature" and his "type changes to plant".

So, to answer the original question - Yes, someone with the plant domain can turn a verdant lord, as long as the latter has achieved 10th lvl in the PrC.

I will have to look when I get home. But I have read the class looking for at it for a character and I remember then not getting the Immunities to Crits and Sneak Attacks. I could be mixing it up with anohter Class I read wile looking.

Absolutely, yes. Plant Domain allows turn/rebuke of all [Plant] type creatures.

Just like normal turning works on a Lich, Plant-turning works on Verdant Lords.
