Wand of Accuracy class feature

Hey, the wand of accuracy gives the wizard a bonus to hit on one spell a day. Can this be used as an immediate action upon knowing what the die roll is? It certainly seems more useful if it is, and I'll probably house rule it so unless there's a good reason not to, but I'm hoping that there's some precedent.

Using that class feature seems to be a Free Action as you can not take an Immediate action during your turn.
