War and Government

It's painfully obvious that Eden Odyssey lacks professionalism and reliability in that "Fields of Blood: The Book of War" has been announced and in production for over two years, yet they continue to put it on the back burner to promote new products that are quite inferior.

As such, I'm giving up on that hopeless company. Does anyone here know where I can find d20 system rules for war and government that are easy to incorporate into any campaign while also being complete and realistic and not just thrown together?

I too have long awaited this product and I now feel that they are making progress. I would not trust AEG's "war" as it is fairly useless from a rules perspective.

This is the only other product I have hope for. And I am still hoping for Fields of Blood...

The birthright rules, for domain rulership and wars, from 2nd edition are available as ESD. They are pretty much tack-on, underlying-game-system independant. I've used them for 3e. They are fairly high level and abstract, so it might not be what you're looking for.

There is a 3e version in development by a fan group, but it's not done yet, it's in revision. Soon, I hope.

Thanks for the kind words.
The original developer and writer, Matt Colville, is the reason this product is late.
Once he decided he was no longer able to finish it we hired a new developer/writer who has done more work in the past 3 months than the previous writer did in 12.
The first draft is finally in and we are in final playtest. Still no set date. Sorry to disappoint you.

Thanks for the info Anubis. That's one hell of a follow up. ::hat's off::

I hope they put it through quickly. I've been frustrated for the past year and half over that book.

Lizard seems like a pretty straight forward guy though.

I haven't seen anything else online or off that has even (what I would consider) halfway decent rules for the governemnt and campaign wars. I've seen a couple of Mass Combat systems that are good in theory, but hard to play or way TOO easy (i.e. two d20 rolls for each ARMY?!? )

Birthright is Alright. But a little too high level for me.
