Sacrosanct
Legend
A bit of background. One of the reasons I've been working on a 2e clone is not only to make the rules more presentable and easier to reference, but also to make 2e more welcoming to newer players. Those of us who grew up on TSR era D&D are getting older. Many of us have already passed on. Yes, there are inspired systems out there based on systems like b/x, but only one clone of 2e, and it's presented almost exactly as the original. If we want players to have the 2e experience after the rest of us are gone, then we need to present options that newer players are more familiar with beyond the basic core classes and races. Kinda depressing to admit our time is short, but there ya go. But I do believe there is room in our hobby for those older editions to still have fans and be the choice for some gamers.
That all being said, one of the ways I'm doing this is by expanding player options, like the warlord...er...war leader class. So here ya go. In the 2e context, I think this does a decent job of capturing what the role is while keeping it within 2e boundaries.
