Warlock/Barbarian Gestalt help

Omegaxicor

First Post
I am starting a new game end of next week and I have to design a Gestalt character.

I have chosen Warlock Eldrtich Blast/Barbarian Charger

Race can be Human/Elven/Dwarven/Dragonborn/Orc/Kobold

If there are better class selections then I have not decided anything for certain but I am curious about feats and prestige classes to take (I know about the Power Attack, Shock Trooper, Raptor School, Leap Attack combo and I know about the Hellfire warlock and Enlightened Soul, I am planning to take them)

EDIT: I forgot to include, my available books are the PHB 1/2, DMG 1/2, MM 1/2/3/4, Complete series (Except Scoundrel and Champion is conditional), MH, Libris Mortis, BoED, BoVD (although it requires approvement from the DM), ToB/ToM (DM approval required), Races of Dragon and XPH...I may have missed some so ask, but nothing is allowed from Faerun, Eberron or other Campaign setting

Umm...I don't know if you can use invocations while raging, if not this is a pretty unsynergistic combo.

In any case, if you're doing barb//warlock charger, you basically want Lion Spirit Totem from C.Champion for your 1st Barb level, and the Eldritch Glaive blast shape invocation from dragon magic, so you can pounce with a glaive that hits touch AC (get power attack). Whirling Frenzy variant from UA for Rage would also be good, again assuming you CAN rage and use invocations to begin with, which I doubt.

I was going to use the Berserker Strength ACF instead of Rage but yea I am pretty sure you can't Rage and use invocations (they are essentially spells), but what would you suggest synergises with the Warlock class better than Barbarian?

I was thinking of having Charge (and Pounce) and Hideous Blow, the ability to become invisible and Charge and Hideous Blow and have Eldritch Blast as a backup...I doubt I would Rage unless I needed to Melee someone and Hit rather than Damage was more important (boost to Strength rather than Hideous Blow)

No, you can't cast spells while raging only a few things can do that. Also don't use hideous blow it is a standard action effect so it can't be used with typical charge and multiple attacks. Also, you sacrifice the capability and reliability of a touch attack.
Enlightened Spirit only advances eldritch blast and gives a couple of invocation-like abilities, Warlock is just simply better.
As for your build, what do you want your warlock to do? Do you want to be a glaivelock, clawlock, blaster, UMD abuser...?

Well Blaster/UMD Abuser but since I am Gestalt I want to be good at something else as well...I thought Charging and doing massive damage would be good

EDIT: How is the Warlock simply better, what does it get that the Enlightened Soul doesn't give it?

EDIT 2: Which is the best Divine spell caster (so I can heal my own ability damage from Hellfire without using Homebrew feats)

Warlock Druid....

OMG hahahahaha nice, I don't like powers such as the wild shape that have 5 uses a day (that's not that much when a typical adventure has 8-12 encounters)

I'll look back through the Tome of Magic and see (I don't know the Tome of Magic/Battle that well)

EDIT: Knight of the Sacred Seal doesn't look that good, a Charisma bonus to AC and 1/day use a Binder power without waiting the 5 rounds, both seem good but not worth the PrC, am I missing something?

Well for ranged stuff you could do something like scout or rogue and then apply sneak attack/skirmish damage on top of eldritch blast. Some things would overlap but you'd be doing quite a bit of damage every round and still be ranged.
