What are you doing with recent (2025-2026) RPG releases you purchased?

What RPGs that have come out in 2025 or 2026 are you prepping or playing?

2025:
I'm slowly reading Warhammer Fantasy Old World. I've soloed it once. Might GM it at the start of 2027, if the group wants to.

Coriolis the Great Dark. I'm struggling a bit with the changes to the setting, the dice mechanic and the claustrophobic delves. I'll solo it with the Enforcer (constable) I created this Summer in an urban city adventure. Another player said he was interested in running it.

2026:
Dragonbane Book of Magic.
This one gets used in two weeks when my campaign with the group's Beastfolk characters picaresque adventures resume.

I still have Star Forged, Outgunned Adventure, Star Trek Captain's Log, Jackals and the Dreams & Machines Starter Set that are mostly unplayed - one solo session each. They range from 2021 to 2024. No other new purchases for me until I used them to their fullest. It's fine. When I look at the new RPGs nothing truly interests me enough to purchase it.

I think the only thing I bought was Heroes of the Borderland box set. I'm just finishing the last campaign that started with the last box set and ended at level 14 and started prep to modify the new box.

Since my group has been playing for a while I plan to skip or modify most of the keep quests and add some underground lairs and plot to bring things more to level 7-8.

Twilight Sword - closing on end of campaign
POTA - nothing yet.
Daggerheart - ran 2 short (levels 1-5, 2-3 sessions per level) and one medium length (levels 1-7, 3-5 sessions per level) campaigns, am letting it lie fallow since I overdid it by running two groups simultaneously.
Alien 2e: ran a cinematic which turned into a minicampaign.
Foundry: bought for DH and Alien support, currently running L5R5 with it.
STA 2e: Nothing, yet. I've skimmed it, started on my cheat sheets, but just not excited about it since neither group is trekkies (tho one group has one hard core trekkie).
Pendragon 6 "Core" - read it. I want to get the rest of the core, which really is 3 books in size based upon the number of key elements from prior editions that are instead "See ___" referring to the GM's book and the Nobles' Book.

Note: one group is FTF, the other via VTT+Discord.

Looking to prep Sword World and get a game in before the kickstarter, just to see if i like enough to back.

looking at Dolemenwood, Rebel Scum, Cairn 2e at some point.. those are 2021 to 2024 or so.

I didn't buy much in terms of new games:

Blades '68, which I thought was a lot of fun when I played it, but for which I have no current plans to run.

Savage Worlds / Deadlands: The Lost Colony, which is my current campaign.

The rest of my purchases have been supplements, and most of them have not delivered yet, so I'm not doing anything with them yet.

I'm reading Stonetop. It looks very good so far.

I gave Daggerheart to a friend who was curious about it. I liked it; but there are simply too many other games that I would want to run first, and the default playstyle didn't seem quite right for all of my players. I'd be happy to play it at some point, though.

Cosmere: Picked it up to study. Read it. Not terribly easy finding a game to join.

Daggerheart: Haven't read it yet, but I want to study it as well. Expecting having a hard time finding games there too.

Tech takeover of my area plus the pandemic really seems to have driven out a lot of the easy gaming culture.

I ran Pirate Borg all summer, often multiple times a week -- last two games happening next week.

The only thing I used from the starter set (which is excellent) is the players guidebook and the dice, since I wanted to have standalone one-shots, so the interconnected four-part adventure in that book was untouched.

I did use the Pirate Borg screen, which I got midway through the summer, and it's a delight, allowing GMs to run games without ever cracking the book, making the game run lightning fast, as befit the genre.

I also ran a bunch of Pirate Borg one shots, including content from the Limithron Patreon.

I have not used The Horrors Within or Arcana Unleashed in my Radiant Citadel campaign, although once I kick my Empire of the Ghouls back to unlife again, I expect some folks will update their Van Richten's-era PCs with The Horrors Within.

I think that's all I've gotten in 2026.
