I watched the first few episodes of Cheers (first 4 or 5? I can't remember) a few years ago, and I was surprised by some of the jokes -- there seemed to be at least one or two jokes per episode that were surprisingly weird. It was kind of wild.
I was the hugest Cheers fan when I was a kid, my parents watched it like my whole life, the show ended when I was 15 and I still have the t-shirt for the final episode somewhere, that I got in Boston that year, and you know what? I have never watched an episode since. 33 years. Next time I have Paramount+ I definitely need to take a look at it. I suspect it will hold up, because I have seen clips from it which definitely did.
I just now watch M. Knight's
Trap with Josh Hartnett. If it wasn't, this could be a pretty bad movie, but he is ripping through the scenery, just absolutely chewing it to pieces, and that bit of it is great! He always had these boring hot guy roles in the 1990s and 2000s they should have had him playing maniacs, obsessives and killers the whole time. It's still not a good movie, it's a curate's egg - "good in parts", but I enjoyed it. Also the movie I think has a bit of racial consciousness that is subtle but there, like, I think M. Knight understands that this character can get away with a lot of stuff because he's a sort of trustworthy-looking white guy, there are times that almost anyone else would have been stopped (though the character does work hard to sort of build "insta-trust" at times too).
One of my friends who saw it said "He's just rolling with Advantage on all this!". He also clearly spends a couple of like "Plot points" or "Hero points" or something to get like impossible luck most notably
when he finds the wallet in the apron which has the card he needs in it and prominent enough he can quickly find it.
