What are you watching in (late 2025 and) 2026?

"Voyager" annoyed me no end but on rewatch, when it gets to the part I refer to as "Borgwatch" (Some people stand in the darkness; Afraid to step into the light; Because then we see you; And resistance is futile), they do present some interesting themes via Seven of Nine.
Voyager has grown on me somewhat, to the extent that I've at least watched selected episodes of each season, but I still consider Seven and the Doctor the only decent characters in the show.

If I'd been captain, most of the crew would have been spaced for mutiny in season 1. Or the captain would have been out the airlock, following a successful mutiny, with all of the "RAMMING SPEED" moments in a ship with no support network.

That's 4th season, though. Either of us will invest a few hours to find out if a show is going to find its feet. I don't expect anyone to go through 67 episodes before the show "gets good" for them.

I expect that if we're going to get through it, it will be on the basis of:
1) Janeway is awesome.
2) Re-interpretation of Kes - focus less on her "age", and more on how she's effectively a member of the Eloi, a super-sheltered people.
3) Taking it all in the stride of Lower Decks: "It's Voyager. Stuff got weird."

I noped out of VOY really early. Somewhere in the first half of the first season. After they threw away all the potential conflict between the Maquis and Starfleet in the pilot, I was already mostly out the door. When they did two space anomaly / time loop / whatever episodes back-to-back, I was done. I'm sure it's a great show and it clearly has a heap of fans. I'm just not one.

I was still in my "all Star Trek must be watched" phase. Disco broke me of that.

And, I can add: we might not get through all of Voyager. My wife recalls getting annoyed with Kes. She thinks she has a bit of a different interpretation of the character that can make her more tolerable. If it doesn't, she's not gonna wade through it all.
Fun fact: my wife's aunt (now deceased) was one of the teachers at the school the actress who portrayed Kes went to when she was a kid, and had her in some of the classes she taught.

Just watched Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere on the plane. I really liked it, but I can see where others might not. Not exactly fast paced or happy....

We finished up season one of Better Call Saul on Sunday. Next Sunday we start in on season two. (We watch two episodes a week.) I tell you, while I'm enjoying Saul's backstory, I could watch an entire series focused solely on Mike Ermantraut.

I'd love to start watching Pluribus - I've heard good things about it - but I'm not into streaming subscriptions, so I'll wait until it (hopefully) comes out on DVD. (I prefer to buy something once and then own it forever.)

I'm in the minority, but I did not like pluribus.
