We watched the first two episodes of season two of "Better Call Saul" on Sunday - and now the term "squat cobbler" has entered the Richards household lexicon. What a great show!

Thankfully we don’t pay it since we now live in Canada but yes, it did make it feel as if the BBC et al think that the only cultural capital worth mining in the U.K. is the past.

I'm in the UK and don't pay it either, it's been ages since I watched any form of live/broadcast TV. I still get letters from the BBC periodically, phrased in somewhat disbelieving terms of "but surely you must indulge in this niche form of televisual entertainment, at least?"

Currently my wife and I just finished the first three seasons of Ted Lasso (planning on stopping there), and moving on to For All Mankind. I'd also like to catch the latest season of SNW, even though I expect that I won't like much of it, from what I've heard.
