Nintendo is usually good at figuring out what will work with their customers, so I can't understand why anyone at the company thought the Virtual Boy was ready for production. I'm guessing nobody could see the red flags after demonstrating the red landscaped, headache inducing machine. It was so bad. Should have been named insta headache boy. That thing must have caused vision damage in any long time user.

To Nintendo's credit, they'll often zig where others zag, and they let their developers experiment and take risks in ways that other big game companies haven't (think the Wii at a time when everyone was focused on graphics). I just think the Virtual Boy and the WiiU were instances where that risk didn't pay off.Nintendo is usually good at figuring out what will work with their customers, so I can't understand why anyone at the company thought the Virtual Boy was ready for production. A friend of mine had an Odyssey 2. I couldn't tell you too much about it, but they had a copy of Quest for the Rings and that was a pretty cool game.I found an Odyssey 2 in my grandparent's basement. It's a very early console that I wouldn't recommend anyone go find, but I had a lot of fun with a game called K.C. Munchkin that was a Pac-Man like game with a few new ideas.
Same lol.Ah, I saw the title and rushed here to say "Gary Gygax's Cyborg Commandos" before I realized it was game consoles not RPGs.
I had the choice between the Game Boy or the Lynx during Christmas of 89. I chose the Gameboy solely because I could get more games at the time for it. I feel that I made the right choice.
