What crappy game systems did you own?

It was so bad. Should have been named insta headache boy. That thing must have caused vision damage in any long time user.
Nintendo is usually good at figuring out what will work with their customers, so I can't understand why anyone at the company thought the Virtual Boy was ready for production. I'm guessing nobody could see the red flags after demonstrating the red landscaped, headache inducing machine.

90s VR hype.

Virtua Racer, Fighter, and canceled VR helmets for various consoles.

To Nintendo's credit, they'll often zig where others zag, and they let their developers experiment and take risks in ways that other big game companies haven't (think the Wii at a time when everyone was focused on graphics). I just think the Virtual Boy and the WiiU were instances where that risk didn't pay off.

We have a WiiU that we got at a steep discount when our Wii died, and it's...fine...for what we paid for it. But it is definitely not a good system.

I've owned a NES/SNES/N64/Gamecube/PS1/Wii/Xbox/xbox 360*/xbox one/xbox series x*/Nintendo Switch*

Not sure any of them would be called "crappy"

I found an Odyssey 2 in my grandparent's basement. It's a very early console that I wouldn't recommend anyone go find, but I had a lot of fun with a game called K.C. Munchkin that was a Pac-Man like game with a few new ideas.
A friend of mine had an Odyssey 2. I couldn't tell you too much about it, but they had a copy of Quest for the Rings and that was a pretty cool game.

Ah, I saw the title and rushed here to say "Gary Gygax's Cyborg Commandos" before I realized it was game consoles not RPGs.
Same lol.

For me, I never really had a crappy game system that I can recall. Granted, I never owned that many...

The first game system we got was the Intellivision, and you can bet I looked like this towards the Atari owners ;)

I had the choice between the Game Boy or the Lynx during Christmas of 89. I chose the Gameboy solely because I could get more games at the time for it. I feel that I made the right choice.

Honestly, the original Gameboy had the better game library, but the Lynx had better hardware. I considered listing the original Gameboy as one of the crappy systems that I owned, but its game library saved it. I loved my original Gameboy despite the awful display, bad sound, and battery hungry hardware (I had the battery pack, which helped a bit).

The SEGA Gamegear was ahead of its time. I think SEGA got a raw deal. In my opinion they had pretty solid systems. I have a Dreamcast and still play it sometimes.

I don't think I had a crappy system.
